EVVO launched its token in 2024 with a plan that put AI models inside consensus: forecasting load, choosing validators and setting block timing. The project then went quiet, and the plan did not survive a close look. The reboot replaces it with one that can ship.

Why the first plan did not hold

  • A Layer 3 has no validator set to pick. It orders transactions with a sequencer and settles to the chain below it. "AI picks validators" does not describe how a Layer 3 works.
  • A model in the consensus path widens the attack surface. The new plan keeps models out of that path.
  • The headline numbers were never measured. The throughput, finality and confidence figures from 2024 are retired and appear nowhere in these docs.

What the rails look like now

Demand showed up somewhere else. AI agents started to transact, and two standards carry the traffic.

  • ERC-8004 is the Ethereum standard for agent identity and reputation. It has been live on mainnet since January 2026.
  • x402 is the HTTP-native stablecoin payment scheme that agents use to pay for APIs.

The rails exist. A home for them does not. That is the gap the rebuilt EVVO is designed to fill.

What EVVO kept

EVVO keeps what it always said it was: a Layer 3 built for intelligence. What changed is what sits in between. The intelligence is now the agents that live on the chain, plus a chain that adapts to their traffic. What remains of the 2024 idea inside the chain itself is the Adaptive Layer, which is bounded, public and advisory first.

Retired products

  • EVVO DEX. Agents use existing liquidity through the bridge.
  • EVVO Stake as a validator product. A Layer 3 has no validator set. Staking survives as agent bonds and, later, sequencer staking.

What stayed the same

The $EVVO token: same contract, same supply, same holders, which means none outside the project. The token pages have the facts.
